1. Accessing the Asset Module

  • From the left menu, click on Assets.
  • Open the Asset Registry, which lists all assets with detailed information.

2. Overview of the Asset Registry

  2. Displays details such as type, title, and critical information about each asset.
  3. Actions Panel:
  1. Calculate Severity Icon: Assess the criticality of the asset.
  2. Edit Icon: Update asset details.
  3. View Icon: Display detailed information about the asset.
  4. Delete Icon: Remove the asset from the registry.

3. Adding a New Asset

  1. Click on Add New.
  2. Fill out the form:
    • Asset Type: Specify the type (e.g., server, firewall).
    • Title: Provide a descriptive name.
    • Owner: Assign an owner responsible for the asset.
    • Technical Operator: Identify the operator responsible for maintenance.
    • Model and Version: Enter specifications like model number and version.
    • Operating System: Specify the OS if applicable.
    • Serial Number: Record the unique identifier.
    • IP Address and NAT Information: Enter connectivity details.
    • Internet Connectivity: Indicate whether the asset is connected to the Internet.
    • Backup Information: Log backup schedules.
    • License Information: Record license start and end dates.
    • Image Upload: Add a visual reference for the asset.
    • Sensitivity and Confidentiality: Indicate the sensitivity level of the asset.
  3. Click Save to add the asset to the registry.

4. Managing Assets

  1. Calculate Severity:
  2. Use the Calculate Severity Icon to prioritize critical assets.
  3. Viewing Assets:
  4. Use the View Icon to access detailed information such as type, IP, and backup history.
  5. Editing Assets:
  6. Update details like operator, license information, or backup schedules.
  7. Deleting Assets:
  8. Use the Delete Icon to remove assets that are no longer needed.
